Remote

Duties
Development of Cloud Solution and Implementation
•Build & configure the production systems
•Support of development, test, QA, and UAT environments
•Building automated processes wherever possible
•Validating code quality standards are met
•Provide recommendations and standards to adhere to

Service Delivery
•Incidence management and root cause analysis
•Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
•Recommending improvement opportunities

Release management – CI / CD
•Support CI/CD infrastructure and application releases
•Maintain branching strategies that automate releases across environments
•Develop and maintain automated unit & integration testing strategies in support of application

Site Reliability Engineering
•Assist with the identification of service level reliability indicators
•Support and assist the implementation of automated solutions to facilitate deployments activities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Development
• Experience with AWS
•Nodejs, Golang, Python, Java
•GitHub, Gitlab
•Powershell DSC
•Containers – Familiarity with microservices and serverless, and tools such as Docker, container registries, kubernetes
•Familiar with services such as: SNS, CloudWatch Events

CI/CD Deployment
• Experience deploying web applications to an EC2 instance, including building of automated scripts
• Experience on CloudFormation and standing up an application infrastructure.
• Familiar with Elastic Beanstalk
• Knowledge of containers and deploying applications using ECS for Docker, Elastic Kubernetes services (EKS)
• Knowledge of CD/CI and DevOps tools for automated solutions involving Jenkins Pipeline, Terraform, Cloud formation, Docker

Security
• Understanding of AWS Security Model and IAM
• Knowledge of Secrets Manager service
AWS SDK
•Must be familiar with the AWS SDK and experience with S3

Databases
•Experience with RDS and Aurora, MySQL and PostgreSQL.
•Familiar with NoSQL data stores like AWS DynamoDB, MongoDB, graph database
•Data Services EC2, ECS, Lamda, S3, fargate, system manager
•Knowledge of DynamoDB, and NoSQL databases and MongoDB
•Knowledge of DocumentDB

Serverless
•Familiar with Serverless services in AWS such as Lambda, API Gateway

Education & Experience

• 5 years

Certifications, Licenses & Registrations

• Bachelor’s Degree or Postgraduate in technology related discipline or 10 years of experience
