Senior Project Manager

Our client, a reputable Life Insurance company, is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager responsible for managing IT Projects and Resources. This position requires demonstrated proficiency in IT Project Management techniques, processes, and the ability to effectively apply them in accordance with established Life Cycle methodologies.

Responsibilities:

• • Lead planning efforts in collaboration with US and Latin America team members and other PMs
  • Oversee 3 Project Managers based in Panama & Guatemala
  • Experience with Infrastructure and Application Projects
  • With guidance from Portfolio Manager, align project vision to business needs, effectively juggling potentially ambiguous priorities and managing PMO, Business, and IT leadership expectations
  • Utilize metrics for managing projects and discussing project status/reporting
  • Create a collaborative environment for the team to ensure success; provide leadership as necessary to align with team and project goals.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of key business processes by engaging in and contributing to business process discussions, rather than only technology delivery discussions
  • Manage challenges and risks (not just reporting status) by identifying them proactively and proposing risk management options
    

    Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong understanding of Scrum methodology
  • Bilingual; must have strong communication skills in both English & Spanish
  • 10+ Years of IT Experience
  • Bachelors Degree Required
  • Ability to deal with a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs quickly
  • Ability to collaborate with Technical Leads for scheduling, brainstorming, etc.
  • Analytical mindset; comfortable working with data (accessing and manipulating) to gain insights and apply those insights
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as facilitation skills
  • Insurance industry experience preferred
